1. Elementary School Principal

Position Opening | Start Date: July 1, 2025

Location: Warren/Alvarado/Oslo ISD 2176, Warren, MN 56762

Position Summary:

Warren/Alvarado/Oslo Schools seeks a visionary, student-centered Elementary Principal

(PreK–5) to lead our school community in achieving its mission: “Creating a foundation for

success by cultivating a passion for learning.” The Principal will serve as the instructional and

operational leader, promoting academic excellence, inclusive practices, and a safe, supportive

school culture. This position reports directly to the Superintendent.

Essential Responsibilities:

 Instructional Leadership:

Lead curriculum development, instructional planning, and data-driven strategies to

improve student achievement across grade levels.

 Staff Supervision & Development:

Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate certified and non-certified staff; foster a culture of

professional growth and collaboration.

 Student Services & Support:

Oversee student discipline, special education services, and support systems that ensure

every student’s well-being and success.

 School Climate & Culture:

Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment built on strong relationships,

high expectations, and equity.

 Family & Community Engagement:

Cultivate relationships with parents, guardians, and community partners to enhance the

educational experience.

 Operational & Financial Management:

Manage daily operations, school safety procedures, scheduling, budget oversight, and

resource allocation. Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure school practices align with district policies, collective bargaining agreements, and

state/federal education laws.

Qualifications & Requirements:

 Master’s degree in Education, School Administration, or a related field.

 Valid Minnesota K-12 Principal License (PELSB).

 Valid Minnesota Teaching License (preferred).

 Minimum of five years of teaching experience (elementary level preferred).

 Prior administrative or leadership experience in a school setting.

 Knowledge of state standards, special education, instructional best practices, and school

improvement planning.

 Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire staff and students.

 Commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and student-centered culture.

 Successful completion of a background check.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

 Effective verbal and written communication.

 Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

 Knowledge of educational technology and data systems.

 Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities.

 Commitment to continuous professional growth and leadership development.

Contract & Compensation:

 Contract Length: 210 days

 Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000, based on experience, education, and qualifications

2. Full-Time Custodial Position Available

WAO is seeking an individual to join our custodial team. This is a full-time position with
benefits, effective immediately. Please contact Jason Morken at (218)745-5393 if

➡️Salary Range is $19.10 - $24.95 per hour, depending on experience.

3. Part-Time Community Education Coordinator

       WAO is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with strong leadership and communication

       skills to lead our Community Education program effective July 1, 2025.

       ➡️Salary Range is $10,000 - $12,000 annually, depending on experience.


4. Full-Time Elementary Paraprofessional

WAO Elementary has a full time paraprofessional position available effective
immediately.

➡️Up to $21/hour available depending upon experience.

Salary Range is $15.00 – $27.25 per hour, depending on experience.

5. Teacher & Para Subbing:

WAO is seeking both teacher subs and paraprofessional subs for both our High School

and Elementary Buildings for the 24/25 school year.

➡️Teacher Sub Daily Rate: $140 per day subbing
➡️Para Sub Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour

6. Bus and/or Activities Driver:

Are you a Ponies fan who enjoys going to sporting events and activities? Consider
getting your bus license to support the teams and get paid for cheering WAO on!
Substituting bus routes, or driving for school activities can work around a schedule of
your choosing.
